The Moon Kingdom Story

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
One thousand years ago, the universe was in a state of total peace. This period of time, called the Silver Millenium, was a happy and prosperous time for human kind. The universe was ruled by Queen Serenity, who lived on the Moon. The Moon Kingdom led all of the planets during the Silver Millenium.
However, a threat to this long-lasting peace existed in the form of the Negaverse. The Negaverse was the direct opposite of the universe of the Moon Kingdom. It was a place of hatred, deceit, cruelty, torment, and evil. At the core of the Negaverse, an entity existed which was the main force in the Negaverse, called "The Negaforce". The Negaverse itself was ruled by an evil woman, Queen Beryl. With the help of the Negaforce, Beryl planned to conquer the universe, starting with the Moon.
During a lunar eclipse, Queen Beryl led her minions to the moon, and quickly began their attack. It ended almost as quickly as it had started. The warriors of the Moon Kingdom were no match for the overwhelming, relentless forces of the Negaverse. The Moon Kingdom tried to retaliate. Four young girls, the princesses of their respected planets, attempted to fight off the tremendous Negaforce, but their attempt proved to be futile. In the end, there were many casualties. Two of these deaths included an Earth Prince who fought bravely against the Negaverse warriors. The other was Queen Serenity's only daughter.
After the decisive battle, the Negaverse claimed victory. Queen Serenity knew that she could not let the Negaverse win. She resorted to one final act. Using the power of her Imperium Silver Crystal, Queen Serenity purged the universe of its invaders. Queen Beryl, the Negaforce, and the Negaverse's army were all sent back to the Negaverse. Also, she sent many of her people away, so that they may live in peace once again. Her daughter, along with her court of princesses, was sent one thousand years into the future, to the present-day earth. Queen Serenity gave her life, so that her people, and her universe could live in peace once more. She knew her daughter must live on, because she was destined to be the next Queen of the Universe.

Enter Serena. Serena is a fourteen year-old girl who lives in the city. She goes to junior high school, has a family and friends, hangs out at the arcade, listens to music, reads comic books, and does other things. She likes to eat, hates homework, and is very clumsy. She's just a normal teenage girl...or is she? That's what Serena thought, at least until the day came when her life would change forever.
On her way to school, Serena met a black cat. Much to her surprise, this cat talked! The cat was named Luna, and she was a messenger from the Moon. She was one of the survivors of the attack on the Moon Kingdom. Luna's mission, as she explained it, was to guide a group of warriors--the Sailor Scouts--and find the lost princess of the Moon. Serena had a difficult time accepting this, but after saying those magic words, "Moon Prism Power", she realized that this cat must be telling the truth. Serena discovered that she was the sailor scout of the Moon. Soon after, she and Luna began their mission: to find the other Sailor Scouts, and to find the Moon Princess.
At the same time, the Negaverse was still thriving. As powerful as ever, Queen Beryl had sworn that she would conquer the universe. One thousand years after the destruction of the Moon Kingdom, she had her chance once again. Beryl had to overcome one obstacle first. The Negaverse lacked sufficient power to invade the universe. Queen Beryl's first task was to gather enough energy to free the Negaforce. She sent out her finest warriors to accomplish this mission.
Unfortunately for the Negaverse, a girl named Serena was in their way. In the name of the Moon, Serena became Sailor Moon, and fought off the evil Negaverse warriors. Along the way, she met some new friends and allies: the Sailor Scouts. Sailor Mercury was Amy, an extremely bright, level-headed young girl who loved computers. Sailor Mars was Raye, a hot-tempered, spiritually powerful girl who loved to meditate. Sailor Jupiter was Lita, a strong martial artist who enjoyed cooking. Sailor Venus was Mina, a dedicated fighter of wrongdoings who was already fighting evil as the superheroine, Sailor V. Along with Sailor Venus was her cat guardian, and Luna's partner, Artemis. Together, the five Sailor Scouts fought against Queen Beryl and her minions.
There was another warrior who fought alongside the Scouts. He was the mysterious man known as Tuxedo Mask. He flew in and out, like the wind, always being there to help Sailor Moon. Armed with a bouquet of enchanted red roses, he fought off the Negaverse alongside the Sailor Scouts.
Sailor Moon and the other Sailor Scouts defeated many monsters from the Negaverse. Queen Beryl sent her strongest warriors to defeat the Scouts. Her finest four--Jedite, Neflite, Zoycite, and Malachite--could not defeat the Scouts. The seven Shadow Warriors, powerful enemies from the past, were triumphed over. The Sailor Scouts succeeded in that part of their misson, but there was still a question of who the Moon Princess was.
Seven Rainbow Crystals were the key to an important part of the Negaverse's plan. These crystals housed the seven Shadow Warriors, who Queen Serenity had vanquished many years ago. It was Queen Beryl's hope that these warriors could succeed where her other warriors had failed. In the final battle for the seven crystals, several things were revaled. Serena found out that her shining warrior Tuxedo Mask was Darien, a young man who always teased her. The power of her love for Tuxedo Mask caused the seven Rainbow Crystals to combine, forming the Silver Imperium Crystal that the Negaverse was looking for! The crystal's power filled Serena and Darien's minds with memories of their lives on the Moon Kingdom, one thousand years ago. Much to the surprise of Luna, Artemis, the other Scouts, the Negaverse's warriors, and Queen Beryl, Serena turned out to be the Moon Princess, and Darien turned out to be Prince Darien, the same warrior from Earth who had fought against Beryl so long ago.
After the long lost secrets of the Moon Kingdom were revealed by Princess Serena, Queen Beryl ordered the capture of Prince Darien! The Queen corrputed Darien's mind by erasing his memory. He was sent out to get the Imperium Silver Crystal from Sailor Moon. All of his attempts failed.
Even though the Negaverse warriors had failed to eliminate Sailor Moon and the Sailor Scouts, they had managed to gather enough energy to launch their attack on Earth. Sailor Moon and her friends learned of their plans, and set off to foil them. They headed for the frozen north, where the Negaverse prepared to attack. Unfortunately for the Scouts, the Negaverse was ready for them. Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars, Sailor Jupiter, and Sailor Venus were captured by Queen Beryl's warriors, and held captive in the Negaverse.
Sailor Moon knew what she had to do. She had to confront Queen Beryl alone. Beryl was waiting for her with a surprise: the corrupted Prince Darien. However, love and goodness triumphed, and Darien was freed of Queen Beryl's control. Prince Darien fought off Queen Beryl, but was seriously wounded after trying to protect Sailor Moon.
Queen Beryl was down, but she wasn't out of it yet. She pleaded with the Negaforce for the power to overcome her enemies. Given one final chance, Queen Beryl was filled with tremendous Nega- power. Knowing this, Sailor Moon faced her again. She became Princess Serena, and, using her Moon Wand and the power of the Silver Imperium Crystal, she fought bravely against Queen Beryl. With the power of her own will, and the spirit of her fallen friends, Princess Serena was able to overcome the evil of the Negaverse and destroy Queen Beryl. The universe had become peaceful once again.
The six of them managed to get home safely after the battle. However, the use of the crystal had one side effect. Upon returning home, Serena, Amy, Raye, Lita, Mina, and Darien had no knowledge of the previous events that had taken place. Luna and Artemis left them alone though, satisfied that they could live as normal girls once again.

After the defeat of Queen Beryl, Serena, Amy, Raye, Lita, Mina, and Darien went back to their normal lives. None of them remembered anything that had happened to them after they became Sailor Scouts (and in Darien's case, he didn't remember being Tuxedo Mask/Prince Darien). Luna and Artemis believed that the threat of evil was truly gone.
One night, something alien arrived in the city. It came crashing down from the sky, impaling itself in a street of downtown Tokyo. Everyone gathered around the area, trying to see what they could. But they found nothing. Whatever had been there wasn't there anymore. Luna and Artemis didn't know what to make of it.
Somewhere else in the city, two alien beings lurked, named Alan and Ann. They changed their appearances, as well as their identities. Nobody was aware of their existence. They rented a room at a local apartment complex, where they watched over the city with a careful eye. They came to Earth in search of energy for their guardian, the Doom Tree. Queen Beryl had told them that Earth was filled with energy, ready for the taking. Alan and Ann sent out their warriors, called the Cardians, to collect the necessary energy for the Doom Tree.
Luna and Artemis were the first ones to become aware of the new presence of evil in the city. They were faced with an important decision: Should they reactivate the Sailor Scouts? The two cats were reluctant to rob the girls' of their lives, so they attempted to handle the situation by themselves. The Cardian proved to be too strong for them to deal with alone, so Luna did the only thing she could. Using the Luna Mind Meld, Luna made Serena, Amy, Raye, Lita, and Mina remember the past. Memories of the Negaverse, the Moon Kingdom, Queen Beryl, Princess Serena, and the Sailor Scouts flooded their minds. The five Sailor Scouts were back, with a new mission: Protect the city from all harm that may come to it. Unfortunately for the Sailor Scouts, Sailor Moon no longer had the Moon Wand, nor the Imperium Silver Crystal. Both items had proven invaluable many times before.
The next day at Serena's school, two new students enrolled. Their names were Alan and Ann Granger, and they were brother and sister. Upon seeing Serena for the first time, Alan became infatuated with her. Later that day, Ann discovered Darien, and she tried everything she could to get him to like her. Serena was busy getting Ann away from Darien, and she was also trying to get him to recall all of his lost memories as well.
However, Serena had more to worry about than Darien. The Cardian threat was greater than anything they had faced before. And to make things worse, Sailor Moon wasn't feeling up to the task! Serena's lack of will to fight led to the defeat of Sailor Moon. Fortunately, the spirit of Princess Serena's mother, Queen Serenity, came to help her fallen daughter. Serena recovered the Imperium Silver Crystal from Queen Serenity. Along with her new Moon Sceptre, Sailor Moon was more powerful than before. The other Scouts became stronger as well, realizing the full extent of their power.
That wasn't the end of it, though. To aid them in their mission, a mysterious stranger came to their rescue--but it wasn't Tuxedo Mask! A man in a white outfit, white cape, and white turban came to the aid of Sailor Moon, much like Tuxedo Mask used to. He was called the Moonlight Knight. He made his entrance with his trademark white rose, appearing and disappearing in the blink of an eye. He encouraged the Scouts to be strong, and to believe in themselves.
Serena thought that Alan and Ann were just two normal teenagers. Luna, Artemis, and the other Scouts thought otherwise. They had a feeling that Alan and Ann weren't everything they said they were. In the end, they were right. Alan and Ann Granger were the two alien beings that had crash-landed in the city some time ago. They used their Cardians to feed their Doom Tree, and didn't attract any attention from anyone.
One day, as an act of goodwill, Serena and Darien visited Alan and Ann at their apartment, thinking that the two "siblings" were sick. Ann used this opprotunity to eliminate Serena from her life. She trapped Serena with the Doom Tree. The Tree's reaction was something that Ann didn't expect. The Tree became angry, and grew to immense proportions. The Doom Tree's mass covered the entire apartment complex. Filled with anger, the Tree also took Darien, Alan, and Ann captive.
The other Sailor Scouts came to the rescue. The four of them proved to be no match for Alan and Ann though. The two aliens easily defeated the Sailor Scouts. Meanwhile, Darien lay on the ground, battered and bruised by the Doom Tree. Serena was in big trouble, because Ann was ready to destroy her! Serena transformed into Sailor Moon, right in front of their eyes! Alan and Ann were surprised to see this, and it made Ann even angrier. Relentlessly, Ann attacked Sailor Moon, trying to tear her away from Darien. Seeing this, Darien came to her aid, taking the attacks that were meant for Sailor Moon. Sailor Moon tried to protect Darien from Ann's wrath, but he was too weak to go on. The Moonlight Knight came to help out, but even he wasn't strong enough to defeat Ann.
Finally, the Doom Tree took things into its own hands. To everyone's surprise, it eliminated Ann. It was about to destroy Alan as well, but Sailor Moon pleaded for all of the violence to end. The Doom Tree relented, and spared Alan's life. Then, it told its own story.
On the Tree's planet of origin, there was once only the Tree and the Ocean. The Tree was lonely for many eons, with nobody to talk to. It decided to give life to a new race of creatures. Many creatures were born from the tree, which pleased the Tree, which at that time was called the Tree of Life. But the peace and harmony didn't last forever. Queen Beryl had long ago turned many of the children of the Tree to the evil side, destroying all of the tranquility that once was. The Tree's children fought each other, trying to keep the Tree's power for themselves. Eventually, the planet became unsuitable to sustain the Tree, and it was forced to leave the war-destroyed planet. Without enough energy, many of the children died, save two. Those two were Alan and Ann. These two children were raised in a world of hate, knowing only the evils that they had witnessed. Eventually, they made their way to Earth, in search of energy to sustain what was no longer the Tree of Life, but what had become the Doom Tree.
The Doom Tree admitted that it had failed in its attempt to raise its children. It needed positive energy to survive; it needed to feel friendship, kindness, and love. But because of the corrup tion in Alan a n d Ann's minds, it only received nega tive energy; violence, jealousy, and hatred. However, the past events taught Alan and Ann about what was missing from their lives. For the first time, they experienced the feeling of true friendship. The Tree could not live with all of the negative energy in it, so it asked Sailor Moon for help. Before dying, the Tree filled Ann with new energy, bringing her back to life. Then, using her Moon Sceptre, Sailor Moon removed all of the negative energy from the Tree. The tree was reborn as a tiny sapling. Seeing this as a second chance, Alan and Ann took the sapling. They left Earth, in search of a new home to live in.
The events that had taken place had their effects on Darien. He regained all of his memories that had been lost after the fight against Queen Beryl. But the attack by Alan, Ann, and the Doom Tree had taken its toll on Darien. He became weaker by the minute. The Moonlight Knight came to his aid. He revealed his identity to Sailor Moon. He was the embodiment of the brave soul of Darien that had been lost after the battle with Beryl. The Moonlight Knight was created to fulfill Darien's destiny in his absence. But after Darien regained his memories, the Knight knew he no longer needed to protect Sailor Moon. He joined with Darien, revitalizing his mind, body, and soul.
Serena and Darien had found each other once again. Life was back to normal once again for Darien, Luna, Artemis, and the Sailor Scouts.

Now that the threat of Alan, Ann, and the Doom Tree was gone, Serena and Darien could finally spend some more time together--or so they thought. One day, the two of them were necking in the park. All of a sudden, the sky opened up! First, a little black ball popped out of the hole, and bounced off of Darien's head. Next, a little girl bursted out of the hole, and landed on Serena's head, and grabbed onto Darien to break her fall. After Serena yelled at the girl to let go of Darien, she faced off with her. The girl demanded to have the Imperium Silver Crystal. Serena quickly refused, and the girl disappeared with her "Luna Ball", and vowed to return. As time passed, Darien and Serena would learn more about this little girl.
The little girl and her ball weren't the only visitors to Tokyo that day. Invisible to everyone, a spaceship appeared in the skies above Tokyo. Inside it were five people from the Negaverse. There were four girls, all sisters: Katzie, Birdie, Avery, and Prisma. The Four Sisters were led by Rubeus, a warrior from the "Dark Side of the NegaMoon." Rubeus gave the girls their orders: to retrieve the little girl, and take her back home...to the future. The six of them (Rubeus, the Sisters, the girl, and her Luna Ball) were all from the year 3000, from a place called "Crystal Tokyo." Rubeus and the Sisters had been sent into the past by the leader of the Negamoon forces, the Wiseman.
When Serena returned home that day, a suprise awaited her. She was welcomed home by her "little cousin", Rini. It turned out that Rini was the same girl she had met earlier that day at the park. She didn't have a cousin named Rini though. But when she pointed this out to the rest of her family, they all looked at her like she had lost her mind. Serena later learned that Rini had put her entire family under a mind-control spell.
The Four Sisters went on a hunt for Rini. They scoured the city, looking for her. Their search ended when they found the "Moonbeam." When Rini begins to cry, she lets out a beam of energy from her forehead which flashes in the sky. One of the sisters, Katzie, saw this beacon, and quickly rushed to the temple, where Rini was. Sailor Moon went to the rescue, this time with her one-and-only: Tuxedo Mask! They managed to scare away Katzie, and save Rini from abduction. Rini explained to the two of them that she had to find the Imperium Silver Crystal and her mother before she could go home.
As time went on, Serena and Company learned more about Rini. They found out that Rini was a Princess from a place called Crystal Tokyo, from sometime in the future. At Rini's home, the Queen of Crystal Tokyo was in trouble, and the city of Crystal Tokyo was under attack by the army from the NegaMoon. Rini's purpose was to find the Imperium Silver Crystal, as well as her mother--that is her mother when she was young. They still didn't know who Rini's mom was, nor did Rini know who exactly she was looking for.
For weeks, the Sailor Scouts thwarted the Four Sisters' attempts to defeat the five of them, to find Rini, and to capture the city of Tokyo. The five Scouts used their new powers to attain victory. Luna and Artemis had presented Amy, Raye, Lita, and Mina with brand new transformation pens, which made them all ten times stronger than before. All five of them received new watches, which allowed them to communicate with each other. Using their new abilities, they purged the city of the Negamoon's negative energy, as well as its warriors. Another reason for the Scouts' success was the return of Tuxedo Mask. He went to Sailor Moon's aid, as usual. But much to Serena's dismay, Darien was showing no interest in her whatsoever. Darien didn't tell anyone, but he had been having strange dreams, in which he saw visions of a bleak future for him and Serena. According to his dreams, he should stay as far away from Serena as possible, for Serena's own good. Though it hurt both of them terribly, Darien distanced himself from Serena. Darien couldn't keep it up for too long, and finally reconciled with Serena.
After weeks of failed attempts, Rubeus was getting fed up with the Four Sisters. He threatened them with expulsion from the group if they continued to fail. After this announcement, the Sisters went to work. The first two who tried to defeat the Scouts, Katzie and Birdie, were defeated by the Scouts. Though Rubeus dismissed them both, the Scouts saw the good in the two girls. Using the power of her crystal, Sailor Moon transformed the girls into normal humans, and purged their bodies of Nega-energy.
The Wiseman was displeased with Rubeus' lack of progress. He ordered him to get back the two Sisters that he had lost. To do this, he sent Rubeus a Nega-energy strobe. The strobe multiplied the holder's power by one hundred. Prisma was given the strobe, and then was ordered to go with Avery to retrieve her other two sisters.
They found their sisters at Raye's temple. They whisked them away, shocking the five Scouts. Serena moved Rini to a safe place, inside the temple. But Rini's curiosity couldn't allow her to stay put. She took a peek outside of the temple to see what Serena and the other girls were going to do. Much to her surprise, she saw the five girls transform into the Sailor Scouts! Luna, Artemis, and the five Scouts went to find Katzie and Birdie. Rini followed them at a distance.
They finally found Avery and Prisma, hovering over a bridge with their other two sisters. Prisma tried to get her sisters to come back with them to Rubeus, but they refused. She released her anger, hurling energy bolts at the Scouts, and even at her other three sisters! The Scouts triumphed, and Sailor Moon transformed Avery and Prisma into normal girls.
This added to Rubeus' frustration. He took the power strobe from Prisma, and unleashed the strobe's greatest power. A portal opened on the bridge, sucking everything around it into a void. The Scouts jumped in, knowing they had to stop it. The five of them joined together, and called upon their power. With the use of their "Sailor Planet Power," they shattered the strobe, and saved the day once again. Rubeus was furious after the Scouts succeeded, and vowed to get even with them. Unfortunately for Rubeus, the Wiseman had something else in mind.
